Richard Hills:

In Canberra I am notorious for the Hills Penalty Double
Convention (on one of my good days there is only one overtrick).

So, all of my partners would also like this principle adopted:

"If a player doubles, and if their partner requests (without
pause for thought) that the double be cancelled, then the
double is automatically changed to a pass.  Law 16C applies."
