I can offer one : if, after 1NT - 2C - 2H - 2S (relay), a player takes 5
seconds before answering 3H (say, maximum with 4 clubs), it could simply be
that he thinks about whether his hand is a maximum ; if he takes a whole
minute, you can bet he's struggling to remember his system.
