Not legally. But...

Law 68C: "A claim should be accompanied at once by a statement of  
clarification as to the order in which cards will be played, the line  
of play or defense through which the claimer proposes to win the  
tricks claimed."

Your player's method of making a claim statement is not in accordance  
with this law, and he should be told so, and instructed to comply  
with it. If he then fails to do so, penalize him.
