Some twenty or twenty-five years ago I attended a seminar and heard a
lecture on the (then upcoming) X.25 (I believe it was) network which was
planned by the telecommunication administrations to come into use.

The lecturer told me afterwards that he had held this lecture now for three
years, and there was one particular sentence which he had not had to change
during this time:

"The new data network which will come into use next year"!
