Sorry, but if this is normal practice, it shouldn't be. Who says the  
bid is "final"? There have been at most two passes. To me, picking up  
your bidding cards at this point is as annoying as the similar  
"normal practice" without screens, where at least some of the players  
*assume* the auction is over and pick up their cards before there  
have been three passes.
