If "you noted" means "you read on the CC" (or they pre-alerted), there is MI.
You might be asked to "proctect yourself" by asking (since the non-alert 
contradicts the CC), but you made a good case for having a bridge reason 
not to do so.

So I'd adjust.

With the right explanation (preempt) most would have doubled. Adjust on the 
basis of that action.

Note that the adjustment would be useful only if you had a game of your 
own, which isn't that obvious.
