AG : I don't know about general jurisprudency, but ours is such. This 
means you can't unblock or crocodilize unless you specify it;
A related case : when instructing "take" to dummy, who plays 4th to the 
trick, declarer is deemed to have called for the lowest card that would 
take the trick.
