Hola blmlers! I may be missing something (or merely simpleminded) but 
why not demand that anyone claiming also state how he is going to play? 
  I seem to recall this being suggested in the laws.  And if he doesn't: 
in cases of any doubt (trumps out for example) rule against him.  Even 
the fellow with ten trumps from the top and the aces in the other suits 
can say, without harm or undue effort, when he claims: drawing trumps 
and then the rest is high.  (But in this case I'd probably assume he was 
aware of the necessity to first draw trumps even if he didn't mention 
it.)  But, as above, if there is even the slightest doubt then I'd tend 
do decide against him.  He should have stated his line of play.  Ciao, JE
