I know of no system agreements that specify a minimum length of 5 cards for
a simple overcall, this is simply common sense.
When I agree system with an occasional partner I discuss for instance
whether we require 4- or 5-card suits for an opening bid of one in major. I
never bother to ascertain that we need 5 cards for overcalling. Still, if
asked this fact must of course also be disclosed.
