Wayne, I was talking about the dictionary definitions of "agreement"
and "understanding."  Of course they are synonymous in the law book.
That was my point.  I was just wishing the law book had used
"understanding" as the word to represent the concept.

I was also saying that when the director asks a player at the table
about their agreements, he is technically correct but nevertheless
making a mistake because the average player does not know so well the
technical law-book meaning of agreement---and that the technical
meaning is closer to the common meaning of understanding than it is to
the common meaning of agreement.
