Well, the alternative would be "1C".."Alert".."Explain please" (from  
partner).,<explanation>..<call>...<call>..."Would you explain your  
auction please?" (or, more likely, at least around here, "what's  
1C?") from player. Yeah, that'll go over well. :-/
