I do not believe that the Law requires us to know how to defend a fert. The
SO is responsible for regulating the use of a fert. I do agree that where
the meaning of a call could be anticipated then no real need for pre-alerts
exists. eg I'd expect partnerships to know about plastic club; strong club;
short club; etc without pre-alert. I'd also expect partnerships to pre-alert
some of these, but would not view it as an offence unless the SO had
regulated its use, or put it into an pre-alertable category. John
