But the L64C can only rectify anything if the revoke mattered
in the bridge way. It cannot re-apply the
automatic rectification.

Say South is in 7NT on a losing finesse.
If West makes a revoke that doesn't affect the play
before the finess is taken then the TD cannot adjust 
to 7NT = (if the TD could still apply the automatic
rectification then L64B4 would be totally 
meaningless).

While if South could see the hands record immediately
he would know that the revoke occurred.
